Irakli Kadagishvili, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Self-Government, told journalists about those released under plea agreements in connection with the October 4 events, stating that their imprisonment is the merit of foreign partners, while their release is the merit of the Georgian state.

According to Kadagishvili, the released individuals are trying to protect themselves from the "bullying" expected from their former comrades through their statements.

"The fact is that they repented. The fact is that they asked the state for pardon, and naturally now, when they are coming out, they are trying somehow to avoid the "bullying" that those people, their "comrades," are using against them. As you know, it is very important for these forces that such people do not leave prison, so that in the future the term "arbitrarily detained" continues to exist in the European Commission's such biased reports," Kadagishvili said.

According to him, it is the merit of foreign partners that they ended up in prison, while it is the merit of the Georgian state that the state released them today.

"If they understand this, it will generally be useful to them in life and useful in service to their country," Kadagishvili said.
