Gvaramia: Kokhtashvili Barred from Elections Because She Is a Public Authority

"Coalition for Change" leader Nika Gvaramia writes on social media that Makhmeti doctor Maia Kokhtashvili was barred from taking part in elections for 5 years because it became clear that she is a public authority. According to him, it is precisely for this reason that "they fabricated a crime".

According to Gvaramia, everyone who is a figure of social influence should be careful, even if they are not connected to political activity.

He says that the same ban was introduced by law for everyone who has ever been connected to a non-governmental organization. Gvaramia says that all opposition parties are banned by affiliated persons, which practically covers family members and friends, not to mention activists, supporters and donors.

Gvaramia also points to legislative changes introduced a few days ago, which, in his assessment, effectively prohibit substantive appeals of the election summary protocol, leaving only the technical side.

According to him, all of this is happening against a backdrop where all commissions belong to the ruling team, only they have money, opposition TV stations are on the verge of survival, the SSG, the street and the police work against the opposition and critically minded people, and there are dozens of political prisoners in the country.

Gvaramia asks those who claim that "if Bidzina calls elections, he will win with a constitutional majority, he will not need to falsify", that "this opposition is good for nothing", "protest brings nothing" and that "boycotting parliamentary and local elections would have suited the Kotsebi": "Are you idiots or do you think Bidzina is an idiot?"
