Kipiani: Banning Opposition Parties Effectively Nullifies Political Process

Victor Kipiani, chairman of the political union "Give Georgia a Chance" (Jernn Sakartvelo), says that banning opposition parties through the courts effectively nullifies the political process, and that changes through elections become practically impossible. In his words, as a result, the distance to the radicalization of events in the country is sharply reduced.

Kipiani calls on the government to fully consider the expected risks.

"If they turn into a real threat, dividing into "winners and losers" will become merely a nominal statistic. In reality, we will all lose - the country will lose, and the resource that still exists, even if in small amounts, for qualitative development today will be wasted.
