Prosecutor General's Office Ordered to Open Criminal Case Against Arakhamia

The Ukrainian High Anti-Corruption Court upheld the complaint of the Anti-Corruption Center and ordered the Prosecutor General's Office to register a criminal case against Davit Arakhamia, head of the parliamentary faction of the Servant of the People party. The case concerns an alleged fact of distributing money to deputies in "envelopes". The information is being disseminated by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Anti-Corruption Center.
According to Ukrainian media, the Anti-Corruption Center filed a statement with the Prosecutor General's Office on October 19. It says that Arakhamia allegedly handed out money in envelopes to deputies in exchange for support for decisions needed in parliamentary votes.
At the end of December 2025, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) announced that they had uncovered an organized criminal group which, according to the investigation, included sitting members of the Verkhovna Rada. According to the investigation, they took bribes in the Rada in exchange for voting in favor of decisions they needed.
SAPO prosecutors presented charges to five deputies. The alleged amount of the bribes ranged from 2,000 to 20,000 dollars. As part of the same case, a search was also carried out at the residence of Arakhamia's assistant at the end of 2025.
According to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, there were periods before Russia's full-scale invasion when bribes paid to members of parliament in "envelopes" reached 20,000 dollars per month.
