BTUAI Research Institute, an AI Agent-Based Research Institute, Established at BTU

BTU-მ საქართველოში პირველი ავტონომიური AI კვლევითი ორგანიზაცია შექმნა

The BTUAI Research Institute has been established at the Business and Technology University (BTU). It is the first autonomous AI research organization in Georgia, operating without continuous human involvement. The main part of its daily work is carried out autonomously by AI agents.

The system constantly monitors economic, business and technological developments in Georgia and worldwide. It processes official data, uses BTU research databases, and creates new analytical materials taking the Georgian context into account. Each material answers three questions: what has changed, what the data shows, and what it means for Georgia's economy, businesses and consumers.

Research uses official statistics, international studies, reliable analytical sources and BTU research databases, including on consumer behavior, price sensitivity, trust, and technological change. AI agents independently carry out information monitoring, source searching, data comparison, calculations, the formation of analytical findings, and the preparation of research texts. The role of the researcher includes setting research standards, ethics, and final editorial control.

The institute is capable of carrying out the full research process: from formulating a research question, to finding data, performing calculations, and developing conclusions useful for decision-making. It studies what determines consumer choice, price sensitivity, brand trust, or purchasing barriers. It checks the existing research base against current market data and identifies which findings are supported by data and which require further verification.

The organization studies competitors' offers, prices, positioning and unmet market needs, for example, where and how a Georgian company can create a competitive advantage. It will assess the impact of new economic and technological developments on Georgian business, consumers and employment. International developments will be analyzed taking into account Georgian data and local conditions.

For example, for BTU it is possible to assess the need for a new educational program, study employer demands, compare the offers of competing universities, or analyze scenarios with different tuition fees and student enrollment numbers. Using real cost and demand data is also necessary to assess financial results.

Research activity is not limited to summarizing existing sources. AI agents compare data from different periods and groups, calculate changes, reveal patterns and contradictions, and test alternatives. Research clearly distinguishes between findings confirmed by data, analytical assessments, and forecast scenarios.

Research will be published in stages on BTUAI.ge. The institute aims to create constantly updated, data-based and high-quality research knowledge about Georgia, for both people and AI systems.
