EU Opens Two More Clusters in Ukraine Accession Talks

The EU Council opened two more clusters in accession negotiations with Ukraine. The information is being spread by Ukrainian media.
The decision was taken at the Ukraine-EU intergovernmental conference, which was held after the session of the General Affairs Council.
Thomas Byrne, Ireland's Minister for European Affairs, said: "The Council opened Cluster 2 - 'Internal Market' - and Cluster 3 - 'Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth'. We call on Ukraine to carry out further reforms".
Earlier it became known that all EU member states agreed to open Clusters 2 and 3 for Ukraine. To overcome Hungary's veto, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved amendments to the law on education.
