Polish President Karol Nawrocki, who was flying to Senegal, returned to Warsaw and attempted to enter the building of the Constitutional Tribunal. Polish media are reporting the information. The return took place amid the escalating crisis surrounding the tribunal.

Nawrocki wrote on X: "At this moment the president should be in Poland. I am cancelling my flight to Senegal. I am returning to Poland".

Clashes between protesters and law enforcement at the tribunal building continued throughout the night. The situation became even more tense after Nawrocki arrived at the scene.

Judge Maciej Berek posted a video on X showing Nawrocki attempting to enter the building while police detain him. According to Berek, the president failed to enter the building, but "physically confronted" the judges.

President's representative Rafał Leśkiewicz said that Nawrocki was prevented from entering the Tribunal building.

Later, Nawrocki left the Tribunal grounds and requested urgent consultations with parliamentary parties regarding the situation that had arisen.
