Nawrocki: Seizure of Constitutional Tribunal Was Carried Out by Force

Polish President Karol Nawrocki says that the constitutional order of the Republic of Poland was violated last night. He made the statement public.

"The seizure of a constitutional state body was carried out by force. I consulted with the First President of the Supreme Court, Zbigniew Kapiński, who also does not recognize as legal the actions of those persons who usurped the power of the Constitutional Tribunal," the Polish president said.

According to Nawrocki, he will hold a meeting with representatives of parliamentary groups to discuss the events developing around the Constitutional Tribunal.

"I demand the restoration of the legal order and the immediate departure from the Tribunal's territory of the security forces sent by the government," the statement of the Polish president reads.
