Ioseliani: Feikrishvili Provided Extensive Information, Which Was Forwarded to Investigative Body

According to the Public Defender, prisoner Davit Feikrishvili provided extensive information to the Ombudsman's representative, which was forwarded to the investigative body. Levan Ioseliani stated this on the "360 Degrees" program on Palitranius.

Ioseliani said that hype often arises around convicts or defendants, and the media asks for the statements of parents or lawyers to be confirmed. In his words, this cannot happen until the person goes in and sees everything physically himself. The Ombudsman hopes that many questions related to this case will be answered.

"It very often happens that the situation does not match what is being said. I do not respond to parents because I understand the emotional state of the mother, and she may have exaggerated something both about me and about others, but this does not mean that I should follow that emotional background and not say what is actually the case," Ioseliani said.

According to him, Feikrishvili was visited immediately after the call was received. Initially he refused to meet the Ombudsman's representative, and if the prisoner refuses, the Public Defender's office cannot enter by force. On the second day, when Feikrishvili was transferred to Vivamed, Ioseliani sent his representative and a meeting took place.

"By the second day already, he provided us with extensive information on everything that was interesting to us and probably will be interesting to the investigation too, and it was forwarded to the investigative body, and I hope that this investigation will go all the way. It is also very important for me that questions are answered. If they are not answered, this will be followed by an appropriate assessment on our part," Ioseliani said.
