A three-day lecture course on current issues of artificial intelligence and modern technologies was held at the Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering of the Georgian Technical University. The project is funded by the Youth Agency of Georgia, and the course was conducted by the NGO "Artificial Intelligence Generation".

The aim of the course was to deepen young people's knowledge of artificial intelligence and modern technologies, develop digital competencies, and introduce the practical application opportunities of technological innovations. The sessions were led by invited specialists: Davit Baratashvili, head of the International Relations Department of the Presidential Administration; Archil Odishelidze, head of the IT Department of the Administration; Tornike Saldadze, a specialist in finance; and Gocha Tsikarishvili, an IT expert with experience working at leading IT organizations in Europe and the United States.

The event was opened by Giorgi Mikiashvili, head of the Technology and Grant Projects Office of GTU. Davit Leshkashdeli, president of the university's student self-government, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

Mikiashvili said: "Artificial intelligence and modern technologies are one of the most important directions in the development of today's world. It is especially important that young people have the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in this field, gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, and develop the competencies that will be useful in their future professional activities. We are pleased that, through cooperation with the organization "Artificial Intelligence Generation", students were given the opportunity to receive information directly from field specialists about the capabilities of artificial intelligence and modern technologies."

According to Leshkashdeli, four thematic areas were discussed within the course: artificial intelligence in finance, meaning the use of AI technologies in financial processes and analytics; prompting and AI architecture, meaning effective interaction with artificial intelligence systems and the basic principles of their operation; code transformation, meaning the impact of artificial intelligence on software development and modern approaches to programming; and the digital front and security, meaning contemporary challenges of the digital environment, cybersecurity and technological risks.

The president of the student self-government stated: "It is important for students to learn about modern technological trends, gain practical knowledge and meet experienced professionals from various fields. Artificial intelligence is already changing the processes of learning, work and communication, so it is especially important for young people to understand the capabilities of this technology and the principles of its responsible use. One of the important priorities of the student self-government is to create new development opportunities for young people, support their interests and promote activities that help them prepare for professional growth and modern challenges."

The invited speakers shared their professional experience with the participants and discussed practical examples of the use of artificial intelligence. The course was conducted in an interactive format: participants had the opportunity to join thematic discussions and ask questions.

After the course, certificates, incentive gifts and vouchers were handed out to the participants together with the organizers by the dean of the faculty, Boris Gitolendia, and the deputy dean, Gogi Abramishvili.
