CherGoleishvili: By Banning Alternatives, Ivanishvili Admits Legitimacy Crisis

Federalists leader Tamar Chergoleishvili said that Bidzina Ivanishvili, by banning alternatives, admits a crisis of his own legitimacy. She made the remarks in a speech at a rally held by the "Opposition Alliance".
According to Chergoleishvili, "the Georgian people should fear everyone who has no answer to systemic poverty, who has no answer to corruption, who has no answer to emigration and depopulated families, who has no answer to children raised in poverty with video-cassettes".
In her words, it may outwardly appear that everyone should be despondent because of Ivanishvili's decision, but in reality the opposite is true. Chergoleishvili said that Ivanishvili admits that he no longer trusts the Georgian people and is afraid of their free choice.
According to Chergoleishvili, this weakness of Ivanishvili is the merit of the willpower of the rally participants, of what began two years ago and has not ended to this day. In her words, Ivanishvili knows that this will not end by any particular date, but only with the victory of the Georgian people.
Chergoleishvili said that through peaceful and firm resistance, Ivanishvili will be forced to make concessions and will return the freedom taken from the Georgian people. In her words, the people will then choose their representatives in free elections.
Speaking about the one-month campaign, which will last until 28 November and will continue after that, she said that it serves the purpose of restoring meaning to politics and turning it into a common cause, that is, a republic.
