Zelensky: Delivery of 500 Patriot Missiles May Start Only in Several Years

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the delivery of Patriot missiles to Ukraine may start only in several years. He was responding to the decision of the US State Department, which approved the sale of 500 Patriot-type missiles to Ukraine.

Zelensky said: "The strong decision of the US State Department to allow Ukraine to purchase Patriot missiles. The 500 PAC-3 missiles are important, and very soon - this could have been a very effective defensive package for this winter. However, as defined, deliveries may only start several years from now. We ask our American partners to find a solution, while there is a real threat and need to use these missiles".

According to him, Ukraine asked the US to allocate a support package for the winter. It envisions the transfer of 100 missiles per month for Patriot systems.
